Serveral applications/services run on dedicated Database Servers. Some examples are those for the Accelerator Sector (Controls, Measurements, Logging) or for internal IT applications (ex Remedy, CDB, SLS etc). These services are targetted to a very specific and well controlled set of CERN users. As such, the acess is restricted.
